Products can be added in the following two ways:
1. Scanning products with the scanner and importing into them into SCANit
2. Adding products through the Product Maintenance screen
Details:
1. Scan products and import the products from the scanner to SCANit (see "Taking inventory" section - "Uploading inventory").
Scan the new product's barcode. The new product will display a "Not Fnd - Description" message on the scanner. Press MODE to enter letter mode and enter a description for the new product (Press 0 three times for a space character).
When it comes time to upload the inventory to SCANit, the new product will appear in the "Scanner" tab where it can be further edited before added as shown in the "Scanning and importing new products" screen.
2. Go to the "Maintenance" tab and select "Products" in the maintenance drop down list to add a product.

Once new products are added, labels should be printed for the new products (see "Printing labels" section) and the scanner should be updated (see "Exporting products to scanner" section)
