Question: What are the system requirements of SCANit?

Answer:

SCANit is a fat client application meaning it operates on almost any Windows computer independentaly of a centralized server. SCANit requires an Internet connection to process orders and keep product information up to date in real-time.

The system requirements are:
- usb port (preferrably 2.0)

- Supported Operating Systems (one of the following):

› Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
› Windows Server 2003 Standard, Enterprise, or Datacenter editions with Service Pack 1 or later
› Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later
› Windows Vista Home Basic and above

- Administrative User Account

- ~500MB hard drive space

- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later

- Printer

The following are the prerequisite software requirements (automatically installed with SCANit):

- Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0
- Microsoft Visual J#® 2.0 Redistributable Package
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
- Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable
